What is the game of life?

Story 1

I used to wake up everyday, full of hatred, the feeling of revenge, but who am I supposed to take revenge from? My family that have been with me through all the bad times of life and the only thing they have done is help me in every way possible? Take revenge from the government? Someone has to pay for my hard life it seems.

Those feelings didn’t help. Me feeling like that just made things worst. I found out that the best way to enjoy the game is to accept your current situation and fight back, but not in a toxic way. What I mean by a toxic way is when you do anything for money, work 19 hours without using any strategy or leverage even if you hate what you do for money. Well I tried that and it works for a couple of years but at the end I choose my self over money with the plan to work everyday towards something that I like which at the same time pays well.

I found out that working on loving the game using Leverage, Strategy and acceptance to my current situation were the first steps to finally start and enjoy the game of life.

Story 2

The story of two men living in the same town. They walked the same streets. They were salesmen in the same company. Joe and Kevin.

Joe did not like to sell. He would just do enough not to get fired, would not try to do better. To him, the job was a hard thing he had to do. Each day felt like another wasted day. He watched the time and hated each second. He felt the day was gone and the only reward was money. He did not see his job as a game he could play. He did not ask himself, “How can I like this job while I am here?” or “How can I find a job that I love and I can do a lot more?”.

On the other hand,

Kevin saw the job as a competitive test. It was a game to play well. How much could he sell? How much could he learn about sales? He woke each day with a want to see what he could achieve. His work was not just a job; it was a place to try and get better. When a problem came, he did not stop or complain. He faced it and worked to fix it. He did not watch the time. He got lost in flow. Hours went by fast. He did not feel tired rather full of energy.

Story Summary

In the game of life, who will do better, the one who hates or the one who loves every second?

Action Prompts

Grab a pen and paper, take action, and question yourself along the way:

If you’re not enjoying the game of life, then all the effort should go into making it playable. Question everything. Search, ask, research, explore, investigate, study, review, re-check, and re-think because a happy life is non-negotiable.

  • Am I putting enough effort into making the game of life playable?
  • How can I turn the current rules of life into my advantage?
  • What actions will help me shift the game of life so it favors me?
  • What am I questioning today to improve my life?
  • Have I searched, asked, and researched enough to understand my situation?

Choose Your Tasks

Do the tasks you’re doing actually matter to you, or were they just assigned or forced on you?

  • What am I willing to do to remove those tasks and replace them with ones I’ve chosen myself?
  • What am I willing to sacrifice to drop those tasks and focus on what I choose?
  • What effort am I willing to invest to eliminate those tasks and replace them with intentional ones?

Reduce Overwhelm

Do you feel trapped by a never-ending list of tasks and distractions? Let go of what overwhelms you and focus on what truly matters. Your inner peace and future are extremely important.

  • Which tasks actually matter most at this point?
  • What truly matters to me right now?
  • Which priorities reflect the future I want to build?

Think on Paper

As you go through the course, reading alone isn’t enough. You need to pause, think, and truly understand what’s happening, even if that means re-reading or questioning things many times. Keep a pen and paper nearby, or use software like Scrivener to analyze your thoughts. What seems unimportant now may cause problems later.

  • Am I truly paying attention and analyzing my life with a pen and a paper?
  • Do I slow down and analyze my experiences by writing them out?
  • Do I use writing as a tool to understand my life better?
  • Am I truly understanding this, or just reading it quickly?
  • What part of this lesson do I need to pause and focus on?

Build Real Confidence

Courses can guide you, but true confidence comes from depending on yourself and winning consistently by completing tough tasks, or even normal ones.

  • Am I taking the steps necessary to build an unstoppable confidence?
  • What more can I do to grow my indestructible confidence?
  • Do my choices build unstoppable self belief, or hold me back in life?
  • What tough tasks have I completed recently that strengthened my confidence?
  • Am I consistently finishing tasks, big or small, to build my self-belief?

Use Leverage

I didn’t understand leverage for decades. Would you work 120 hours per week with no reward at all? No way! Leverage is about what you give and how much you can get back. If the reward isn’t there, repetition will make you sick and bored. True leverage is spending the bare minimum time on a task while getting the absolute maximum back.

  • Am I applying leverage in every area of my life?
  • How can I leverage my time, energy, and resources better right now?
  • Am I working hours without getting enough reward in return?
  • Where in my life am I giving more than I’m receiving?
  • Which tasks am I repeating that make me bored or sick?

Protect Your Core Needs

Basic needs not to be ignored! Food, Sleep, Exercise and Mental Health are equally important. Eat 8,000 calories, then go and try being productive. It will just not work. Stomach will take all the blood from your brain to burn that food.

  • Have I fueled my body and mind adequately?
  • Have I taken care of my essentials? Food, sleep, exercise, and mental health?
  • Am I taking care of my core needs before chasing results?
  • Am I physically and mentally prepared to handle the tasks ahead?
